White crystalline powder or granule, with irritating odour. Density: 0.55~0.70 in powder form, 0.92~0.98 in granule form, it can be regarded as solid chlorine, and the theoretical content of effective chlorine is 91.54%. The actual product generally contains 90% chlorine. Soluble in water, at 25 degrees Celsius, 100g of water dissolved in about 1.2g. Dissolved in water hydrolysis occurs, 1 mol of sodium trichloroisocyanurate hydrolysis generates 1 mol of isocyanuric acid and 3 mol of hypochlorous acid. The pH value of 1% water solution is 2.8~3.2. Because of decomposition of HCLO, it has the functions of oxidation, bactericidal, bleaching and chlorination. Sodium trichloroisocyanurate has good stability.

Application
1. The biocidal effect of sodium trichloroisocyanurate is also an oxidising biocide like hypochlorite and chlorine, and 2. stable storage, easy to use, good solubility and good compatibility.
3. Hydrolysed isocyanuric acid can prevent the destructive effect of sunlight on effective chlorine. So it is commonly used in domestic and foreign countries to replace liquid chlorine or hypochlorite for small amount of cooling water and swimming pool water.
4. In addition, strong chlorine is also used in hospitals, aquaculture, sericulture, air, air and ground disinfection, drinking water, tableware, food manufacturing equipment and faecal drainage disinfection.
5. In addition, it is also used as textile bleaching agent, wool shrinkage prevention agent and rubber chlorinating agent.

Storage
Sodium trichloroisocyanurate is packed in calcium-plastic drums lined with plastic film, with net weight of 50kg per drum.Prevent from moisture and sunshine during storage and transportation, and don't contact with acid, alkali and other easily oxidised organic substances, so as to avoid decomposition and failure, explosion and combustion.
